Last night while we were coming out of the church around 8:45pm we noticed a shadow on the moon. We were told that the Earth was casting a shadow on the moon.
Later I found this:
North Americans will be able to see a total lunar eclipse Wednesday. The next will be Dec. 21, 2010, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Web site.
A lunar eclipse only can happen on a full moon, when the moon, as it orbits the earth, passes into the earth’s shadow for a few hours, that's what we saw. When the shadow covered the whole moon it looked like it was 3D or something..it was great!!
